Weekend Pleasures

I L.O.V.E weekends!

Especially long weekends jam-packed of full of non stop fun and pure laziness…

Can you believe that it was 13*C (55*F) here on Friday? Can you say beers on the patio after work?? Well, actions speak louder than words and we took full advantage of our trendy neighborhood and hit up National patio for a few bevvies on such a sunny wonderful day.

But we didn’t stop there. We were soon joined by a co-worker and her significant other and the party spilled over into the wee hours of the morning! It has been a long time since I stayed up past midnight on a weekend but it was nice to actually go out and enjoy ourselves knowing that we could sleep in!

Saturday was filled with shopping for the perfect ottoman or chair to fill our spare room. Alas, we couldn’t pull the trigger and came home empty-handed. On a positive note, I did pick up a nice little meditation chair for my space in the second bedroom and some pretty sweet literature that I’m looking forward to reading. Below is a picture of my wonderful chair~

We had the pleasure of spending Saturday night out in Cochrane with a good friend of Tyler’s and his lovely wife and Sunday with each other for a much-needed date night…sushi and Django Unchained. I absolutely love Quentin Tarantino movies and his latest is no exception. It was a pleasant surprise to see some new faces ( Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx) cast with some of the usual suspects (Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz) as well as the usual cameo that Mister Tarantino is notorious for. I won’t give anything away but do yourself a favour and go see it.

And then there was Monday…spent by renovating the bathroom, cleaning the house and organizing the second bedroom. It was busy but also a great stress reliever as well. Im going to be taking some more pictures and I will get them up on here tonight!~ Stay tuned….

What did you get up to this weekend?? I hope it was wonderful and relaxing whatever you did and wherever you were…
