No Place Like Home

Has it really been three weeks since we were hit with all the horrible flooding in Southern      Alberta? We were hardly affected by the floods other than loosing our power for a week and our hearts go out to those that are still displaced and have lost all or most of their possessions.

a weekend of plenty

Here are some photographs that I took this weekend. I truly enjoyed being home for Thanksgiving. It was a weekend full of family, amazing food, wine, walks, fantastic weather, good sleeps, fresh air, love, laughter, friends and time with my dog Boomer. Sometimes I think that we forget what the holidays are really about and that Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for that which you have. Its not surrounded by sales, presents or anything of monetary value. I feel honored to be on this Earth and blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. Enjoy…

thanksgiving…and turkey

Good morning -5….brrrrrr! I guess because it’s been so nice I was a little shocked to wake up this morning to negative temperatures. We are quite blessed to live in a country where we can experience the best of all the seasons and although I have appreciated the warm fall weather and wonderful summer, I am looking forward to getting some snow on the ground. But all in due time…for now the sun is shining and it looks B-E-Auuuuutiful outside. This weekend is Thanksgiving (Canadian) and I have been looking forward to it for weeks.  I’m counting down the hours until I am done for the week and on the road…
