I just hit over 5,000 views on this little production right here!
This means so much to me. When I started blogging I had no expectations and no idea what I was really getting myself into. But through a lot of trial and error (and some four letter words), I have managed my way and feel so blessed and loved by all of you readers. I am slowly but surely going to get more of a grasp on the technical side of blogging as I am sure there are things that I can majorly improve on. I am also going to start focusing the content more as I feel like it’s a bit scattered at the moment.
Sometimes that’s just how life goes
To mark such a wonderful day in my blogging world, I have officially joined Twitter! Which means it’s just one more way for you to stay in touch and follow along on what’s happening here at TrenaEverAfter.
If you are on Twitter, follow me @TrenaEverAfter and I’ll share the love by following you back.
Looking forward to connecting with some more of you! Have a wonderful day wherever you are in the world.
I am in utter shock that it is April 11th today! I can’t even say where the past two months have gone because they have been an absolute rollercoaster, merry-go-round whirlwind! Just to give you an update from some of my previous posts…I went back and re-read somethings (the joys of having a blog) and realized that I may have left you hanging a bit.
When I started this blog seven months ago I had no idea what to expect and no idea what “blogging” actually was. I figured this would be something that I would do for a short time until the next thing came along. Little did I know what a community of support and information existed in the blogging world and how much I would be inspired to write.
What a whirlwind of a week its been! As February winds down and we are starting to see many signs of spring around here I find myself getting anxious for the changing seasons and warmer weather. I love the transition of the seasons from winter to spring as it makes me think of new beginnings when everything wakes up and the world starts to thrive again. It also means that I’ll be planting flowers and starting my herb garden out on the balcony very soon~
But in the meantime I’ve spent the week focusing on practicing a few
principles of The Yoga Code; Satya (truthfulness) and Sanatosha (Contentment).
For over a year I have been practicing yoga consistently. My realization is the more I practice, the more I crave it. To me, it’s an investment in myself. A way of showing gratitude and love to my body and my well-being. The time I spend on my mat allows me time to reflect but also gives me strength and inspiration to keep practicing. Some days I feel completely balanced, some days not so much. But everyday that I practice I truly find myself connecting more with my spirit, becoming more grounded and learning something new. To me there is no lessons greater then the ones we teach ourselves.
Get on your mat and enjoy the journey
Thank you so much for coming to visit me today in the form of french fries and doughnuts. I bet you think you’re so sneaky! But guess what? I’m stronger than you are. You can’t beat me so don’t even try! I’ll take everything you throw at me and turn it into motivation to work harder and get stronger. So thanks for that…I appreciate you trying to knock me down because it only builds me up and makes me wanna kick your butt even more. Next time you might want to bring your A-game when you try to mess with me because clearly you have failed…

After thinking about my post yesterday and about what inspires me (you) to succeed, I wanted to take the time to offer some inspiration to those of you who are out there and ready to call it quits or perhaps have just hit a wall with your resolutions.
First off, just stop…
I have always wanted to do a brie bake and since Tyler received one as a gift from Secret Santa I took the opportunity to try it out this weekend~!

I know I said at the beginning of November that I was strictly dedicating this month to moustaches and yoga but I couldn’t resist throwing in one more Spaghetti squash creation before getting into all the Christmas season cooking and baking. So here it is, my latest (and greatest) Spaghetti squash creation. This was a very simple recipe with lots of delicious flavors and an asian sorta kick to it. Continue reading
